Stefano Emili, MD
Dr. Emili graduated from The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA in 1991. He completed his undergraduate degree in biology at Lafayette College in his hometown of Easton, PA in 1987. He completed an internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1992, and an internship and residency in internal medicine in 1995. Dr. Emili completed his fellowship in Nephrology at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1997. His professional career has spanned three states beginning as a clinical instructor at Charleston Memorial Hospital in South Carolina. Next, he and his family moved to Ohio where he joined a private Nephrology practice and worked from 1998-2006. Finally, Dr. Emili started his current practice, Aurora Kidney in Anchorage, Alaska in the summer of 2006. Dr. Emili is board certified in nephrology and specializes in diseases of the kidneys and hypertension. It has been a lifelong dream of his to reside and practice in Alaska. He spends his time with his family hiking, fishing, and enjoying the great outdoors!
Christine Walrath, ANP, MS, NP-C
Christine graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2004. She worked on the Progressive Care and Renal Care Units at Providence Alaska Medical Center where her interest in caring for patients with kidney disease developed. She received her Master of Science degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Alaska Anchorage in May of 2011. Christine is board certified as a family nurse practitioner. She has interests in chronic kidney disease management, hypertension, and helping patients optimize quality of life.
